Alert texts and calls ​

Scry's monitoring service ("Scry pager") sends operational alerts about Scry's own services to the phone number its account owner has configured. It is not a marketing program. No one other than the account owner receives these messages.

What you receive ​

Text messages and phone calls from +1 844-456-5700 when a Scry service check fails or recovers; for severe incidents, a phone call. Frequency varies with incidents, typically a few messages a month. Message and data rates may apply.

The account owner enters their own mobile number as the pager destination in the monitoring service's configuration (the PAGER_TO setting) and confirms it by answering a test call. By setting the number, the account owner agrees to receive these alert texts and calls at that number. Only the account owner can set, change or remove the number.

Opt out and help ​

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts; reply HELP for help. Removing the number from the configuration also stops all texts and calls. Questions: support@scrymore.com.

Sample messages ​

  • "Scry alert: production P0. Diff service has been down for 12 minutes. We are calling you now. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • "Scry alert: production main-branch check recovered after 41 minutes. No action needed. Reply STOP to opt out."

Privacy ​

The phone number is stored only in the monitoring service's configuration, is used only for these alerts, and is never shared or sold. See the Privacy Policy.
